Sibling Bond
Sibling Bond
Today I be an old man,
And you, an old lady be,
But no matter decades how many,
You will be the little sister to me.
Birth through childhood,
I never left your side,
Even though bullies and chickenpox,
I always sat beside.
When you got wed and,
Left home I cried.
I pleasured in your happiness,
In your hearts little corner in the side,
Though we parted ways in adulthood,
We never let our bond divide.
Today I sit my rocking chair,
Waiting for time to pass,
Remembering the memories we had together,
And forever they may last.
Even after death's sweet release,
I'll never leave you rife,
Holding hands forever,
As we cross the plank of life.
