Endanger
Endanger
Endanger,
I did myself,
with my voice
finding a protest.
Now the jungle
has marked my roar,
the pack of hyenas
track my path,
encircle my perimeter,
throttling my speech.
The sight of vultures,
script my end,
their silence an eerie
drift of the wind.
Outnumbered,
I walk into a trap,
trampled, trodden,
I am not even a count,
though now labeled
Endangered.
