Time Will Tide
Time Will Tide
Time and tide
Forever entwined,
Wait for none as often said.
I heard the tide tiptoe in gently
At first,
Then the rush
When it heard me welcome open arms.
All the splash and churning tugs,
Time felt rushed but still,
I surrendered to the web of love.
The waves I rode
Time dilation I wrote,
The gravity of passion
Left nothing to rationale.
At first, the spaced-out highs
The fervour seemed on occasion dip,
The measure of infinity got timed
Oh yes! The universe was on its shrink.
The ebb had begun,
The silence grew daunting,
The memories turned haunting,
The salt failed to preserve the time,
The stillness too had a length.
Time and tide
Like us entwined,
Love and longing wait for none.
