Flying From The Chagrin
Flying From The Chagrin
She flew high up in the sky waving
To the bicycle at her door,
A sense of release within her core.
There is no meaning to her existence
she felt. But today she had
Crossed oceans to reach the bridal belt.
That was not her idea though she loved
her destination. Oh! How amused
She was with the 10,000-year-old glaciation.
A belief of life after death after a life
not fully lived she held, hoping
That someday the curse would be dispelled!
She had wailed centuries ago, beneath
the sky, blue. But at the time she was
Ignorantly praising the mesmerizing horseshoe.
A so-called mean friend was by her side. Self –
absorbed, imprudent, in whom she would
confide. Who didn’t abide, who never did abide!
She faced her unfortunate divine clash with the
Vicious crab. And then she returned
To haunt the friend’s daughter for her ugly scab.
The celestial daughter released all her turmoil.
Oh! she toiled, how much she toiled for her
Mother’s sins with a tailspin, shedding her sheepskin.
The daughter found her life story and her
Mother’s friends’ akin. So, she decided to
Move to the West to break the cycle of the chagrin!
She finally flew away from the chagrin!
