Endurance

Just when I thought I was done for the day,

I heard someone say Mayday, Mayday, Mayday...

I braced for impact as we headed down

I was alone... being new to the town...

Within no time we landed on the cliff

And for a moment I forgot I had a tiff.

Moments like these help us endure.

Otherwise, we were to lose for sure.
