Playing God
Playing God
Just when I thought I was alone,
There came a spaceship with a well-lit cone.
It shed some light on what was around...
As I pondered if light travels faster or sound?
There were a few cows in the shed.
And I was reluctant to go to bed.
Their moo – moo kept me company,
As if it was life’s beautiful symphony.
The stars whispered to each other,
Asking the whereabouts of my brother.
He had gone away to a faraway land...
Where there was no gravel and sand.
They say people live after they die.
I feel people die even as they live.
There was one such tree I knew,
That once used to be very true...
That night the spaceship took away
One of our cows.
But it gave us the formula to make cheese...
That is what is now called Go cheese.
We own a spaceship now and also the cow...
But this is not about the where and how?
I just wanted to turn around lives for the better...
But somehow I see more clutter!
It was then I thought ‘Who am I?’
To play God while being human.
If I was, I would have brought back my kin...
From the clutches of the sermon.
Maybe it is too late, maybe …
It's not my purview to do so…
Maybe that is why they gave me
The formula to make the cheese on the GO!
