Flowers

Flowers

Lay some flowers,

Beside the deathbed,

They must be pretty,

Some blue, some yellow, some red.

And while you do so,

Don't shed a tear,

Because they have been dead,

For over a year.

I'm pretty sure you remember that day,

The accident that took place,

The one that took away a part of you,

Without leaving a trace.

It must quit vivid,

The sirens, the tears , the people,

When you were completely torn apart,

And you just wished it wasn't real.

But don't beat yourself up,

Everybody has a limited time,

And you're strong enough to know that,

I know you'll be fine.

Maybe it was a mistake,

Maybe it was not,

But remember, just like us,

Even the flowers will rot.
