Fistful Of Sky...

Fistful Of Sky...

How do I define my life,

By the moments I had,

Or the dream of future within me,

The wind that cools the forehead in summers,

Is the same that freezes one,

When it comes with a white blanket,

Numbs all.

On the highway of life,

So many milestones flash by,

Do I look in the rearview mirror,

For the past engulfs as waves tortured,

Or shall I see ahead, with faith and dream, that future holds?

So much to relish, yet lost in catacombs

Of memories.

Objects in rearview, appear much closer, sometimes,

While a second may seem like a year,

The music resonates with lost tunes,

But milestones remind me,

That relive I can, but no Ms.Haversham would I wish to be,

For I define my life, with my dreams

And deeds,

And when my milestone halts,

I shall be a song, of a fulfilled dream.

A fistful of the sky,

Is all I desire, a moment of recognition,

My place in the sun,

As I pen, the words fade into the past,

The future beckons me, with tempting

Expectations,

Relative are all things,

Yet at the moment, I desire,

What erasers of moments I scarce

Want to withhold,

But the inner eye,

Shows me the path and baggage,

We all need to carry,

For our rent of living,

A fistful of the sky,

Let that be my swan song.
