Ferris Wheel

We met yesterday,

And we clicked; just like

The sun and the moon.

The next day you picked me up at 8 pm

And we went for a long drive while-

The music in the car was banging loud

You kept your hand on my thigh and

Whispered loudly in my ear- "I'll never let go of you"

You gently kissed my earlobe and I smiled cheek to cheek.

I was falling for you.

I was realizing it that I liked you too

We had reached the carnival

You got out of the car and opened the door for me.

Held my hand and gave me your jacket to keep me warm

We were headed towards the Ferris wheel

It started rotating.

We were on the top when it stopped-

We could see the whole city lit up in front of our eyes.

Your eyes gleamed as I looked at you

My heart skipped beats-

We both made close contact

Our eyes met.

When we fell, we fell forever entwining our gaze at one another.

I felt your touch before I saw you embracing all of me.

Now I had found a place where I could breathe.

And the same night with you-

I found love on a Ferris wheel
