She knows me

I have whispered to the moon,

in the early evening hours,

When she shares the sky with the sun,

secrets, promises, wishes, and dreams.

Everything within my mind and heart,

she knows, oH! She knows,

the truth within my soul,

bare, naked, and fearless,

For she's known me for forever,

from the day I was born to today,

and to the day I no longer draw breathe,

She will know me, and so will I;

the comfort in her presence is all I need-

As she drifts away through the night sky,

hiding beneath these tear-filled clouds,

Reminding me, I am something more than I seem

that I'll be well, and all will be right.
