Father's Day

Pillar of my family.

In his eyes, a story is hidden,

Dreams in his heart, tightly he did lid.

Few words he speaks, but feelings are deep,

In his soul, promises to keep.

Practical yet graceful, his ways,

Determined, etched on his face always.

He toughens us up with words so stern,

Teaching lessons we often don't discern.

His wishes step back, as ours take the lead,

Blindly he follows, our every need.

From dawn to dusk, he toils on,

Making life easy, his own burdens drawn.

Time with us, a precious gift,

His love, through every rift.

His presence, a guide so strong,

With us, forever he belongs.

His sacrifices, often unseen,

But in our hearts, their worth is keen.

In the safety of our night's embrace,

His love we feel, in every space.

Father, our pillar, steadfast and true,

The sky's blue, in our home's view.

His love, the glue that holds us tight,

In his strength, we find our light.
