                     FATE OR DESTINY?

Worked hard for four decades, I felt it's time to retire and take time off 

Papers received, pensions granted and benefits detailed; big sigh of relief!

While going through letters I found an application form for free bus pass!

What a great opportunity to travel nationwide without spending a penny?

 

Stopped driving my car, sent the application and I got my free bus pass!

Next day I was excited, tried to use my bus pass and make a quiet town trip. 

The bus stop is eighty yards from my home and I waited for a bus to board,

Big crowd waiting for next bus I was able to join the line as a last person!

 

The bus arrived at the stop, everybody was getting into the bus one by one

When nearing bus steps I noticed a frail gentleman with a stick behind me.

Bus conductor was shouting 'one more seat', I decided to help the old man!

I held his hands, supported him to get into bus and decided to go by next one!

 

I was lucky to get next bus within a few minutes and kept going on the trip

On our way there was a major bus accident in front, a big crowd on our path 

Our bus could not pass through that spot, stopped and we got down worried

We are shocked to see some people dead including the elderly man we helped!

 

Every incident has a lesson, any accident has a sad story to tell you and suffer, 

This fatal accident upset everyone, they all wondered, it's fate? Or destiny?

I helped this elderly man with compassion that saved me from an accident? 

How is our life uncertain in this world? What's the reality? I am truly puzzled? 

            DO YOU BELIEVE IN FATE?
