Fairies
Fairies
Wandering through the winding forest trail
I await to see the magic that will unveil
Gazing up to the heavens and through the wispy sky
I watch the birds that float and dance on clouds so very high
Here I lay amongst the flowers
And under the willow trees that tower
Takes me back to more carefree times
Smiling upon the trees – that as a girl I once climbed
Hearing natural music and sounds
Bumblebees keeping busy in the flowers they’ve found
The butterfly that flutters by with such exquisite grace
Pauses for a moment and then is gone without a trace
Oh hello little ladybird crawling on my hand
Oh look there is another that just decided there to land
I close my eyes and make a wish, to see a fairy would be pure bliss!
As I sink into the grass feeling the fierce fiery sunshine
I fall asleep in dreams that are utterly sublime
There I see a glistening cluster of fairies spritely dancing merrily
I am in awe of the woodland floating fairies that bring back so many memories
I must have been here once before, is but a dream – nothing more
