Earthly Sights
Earthly Sights
Early morning rain just whets the earth's appetite
Smell of the wet earth casts a spell
Newly laid road like the black carpet, end to end, welcomes
I speed up the cycle, not that of life, momentarily free of strife.
I slow jog one step at a time, I hear the temple bells chime
Flying high, eagle in the sky, on the ground it eyes
Wind chill, mind not still, with words I unwind
I see a butterfly with flutter in my heart
Swollen with pollen, joy flows out like lava molten
Energized, my spirits rise high, in benediction, I let out a sigh.
