Tragedy

Each And Every Port

Each And Every Port

Your New 'Sari' of the New Year

Reflected colours in the sun-rays

Were scalding tears till your last journey

At the Burning Ghat.

So many clothes like 'Tasar-Garad'

Were stored on your Rack.

New pillow glittered in the Sun.

So many fruits and food

Were stored in your store-room (Lakshmi-Bhunder).

Yet you were passed away

Like an all-sacrificing woman.

The raga of 'Bhupali' of repentance

Are played in the darkness

Of the evening.

Dropping your 'Navimul'

(Rest Burning part of the body)

Into the 'Ganga'

I intensely wish to find you

 By searching

Each And every port of my childhood.
