Dream
Dream
My heart burns with a dream;
A dream so big, others fail to see.
Waiting for the perfect day I stay,
Giving excuses day after day
Time slips like grains of sand,
Making me wish I had a magic wand!
Finally the day comes when I have to close my eyes;
That's when I understand, that all days were nice.
I close my eyes with regret, my dream still burning,
Tears welling up like a sea that is churning!
All days are the same, I want to tell the world;
It's what you do with them that shows it's worth.
Regret touch my heart and wrap my dream,
And I close my eyes forever, not wanting to scream.
Alas! My dream will remain a dream!
It's true what they say; I feel in my heart.
That the richest place on earth is the grave, not apart.
The grave full of dead people; buried and all
Alongside their dreams did they fall!
