Dream-Shopping
Dream-Shopping
I went to a shop to purchase a dream,
Brilliant, flashy lights and wares beckoned me,
Look, how the vitrics and the metal beam,
In its numbing world I forgot to be,
Its alluring sweetness made me a bee,
Like an exuberant child, I walked in,
Intoxicated I couldn’t stop my glee,
I didn’t know it to be one of a quin.
Enticed by the many layers of cream,
I couldn’t discover what I wished to see,
‘You’re a cheater’, I intended to scream,
Dreams don’t have an unreasonable fee,
Am I in the ambush of a banshee?
My extensive forage gives me a spin,
The pleasing tone and stuff just don’t agree,
I didn’t know it to be one of a quin.
Nullified efforts lead me to a stream,
Staring upward I bent down on my knee,
‘Your dreams are amazing, without any seam,
Seek the right places, you’re fully free,’
A glint of hope from the divine decree,
I should be comfortable in my skin,
Unsound I was by being a vendee,
I didn’t know it to be one of a quin.
Setting sails the demon’s scream, I was free,
Quietening the noxious people’s din,
My awakened eyes could finally gee,
I didn’t know it to be one of a quin.
