If I Die

I woke up this morning,

With this thought in my head;

That if I would not have been,

Would that leave something to regret?

If I just disappeared for once and for all,

Would you even notice that one of your friends is gone?

Would it even hurt?

Or am I just another passer-by?

Would I have a moment of grief?

Or maybe a tear from your eye?

The last conversation we had,

Would you be satisfied, content?

Or are there words unsaid,

Inside, forever that you will regret?

Would you feel my absence?

Or just miss me for the sake of time?

Would you count me a loss?

Or would you wait, rewind and pause?

Whatever your answer be,

One day, you will realize what you meant to me.
