This poetry is of the unconventional
In its provocation it is intentional
It is in support of the minority right
Don't brush it off or feel any slight.
Don’t sneer at me if I tell you I am queer
It is a matter composite of biology and psychology
Don’t be sad if I declare I am gay
It is my life I should have a say.
We have our rights, why should that be wrong
This poem has rhythm, could be made into a song
Some are left , some right, we have our orientation.
Keep an open mind, try to understand, that is all our submission.
In nature's creation diversity is a usual phenomenon
Uniformity, conformity, such conclusions let it not be drawn
In the matter of choice each his/her own
Your way is not a highway, please don’t bemoan.
