Dis[Ability]

People laugh at me,

Some look at me with sympathy.

Someone gave me a sorry look,

But I don't want their pity.

Some made jokes,

Some even sniggered.

But in my mind,

No fear triggered.

People talk behind my back.

They pass dirty comments.

But I really couldn't care less.

Because it's my shining moment.

People say, "You can't,"

"You are abnormal."

But I keep moving on,

Because I am better than normal.

I know,

I am physically weak.

But I have a destiny,

Which I have to seek.

Nature made me unique,

Because I can change the world.

Slowly, as my petals

Unfurled.
