Destiny

Destiny

As fate would have it, I missed my train

Just one minute delayed, my plans in vain

Forced to take a different route, a different path

It wasn't meant to be, a moment's aftermath

I called out to you, again and again

But you had blocked me, causing me pain

And when you finally unlocked the door

I was already gone, forevermore

Words of war broke our bond, our ties

But the damage was done, irreversible lies

It wasn't meant to be, a tragic play

Misunderstood words led us astray

Like a game of hide and seek, we played

But you hid forever, and I never stayed

I sought you for years, in sadness and woe

But it wasn't meant to be, I now know

Finally, when fate brought us face-to-face

Our lifetime was over, a cruel embrace

No time left to share, no chance to see

It wasn't meant to be, our destiny

So let us accept what destiny has in store

And move on from the pain, forevermore

For what wasn't meant to be, we must let go

And trust that fate has a plan, we may not yet know.
