Defiance
Defiance
In defiance, she wore her tallest heels to make his anger seem small.
She marched into the precinct,
It was beyond the point of just instinct.
They belittled her for trying,
Even though her eyes were bloodshot from crying.
But her will was stronger than their deaf ears,
So she sought her strength among her peers,
People like her, Who were subject to anger,
They rose like a plume of dark smoke,
It was their time to provoke.
