Strange Sounds
Strange Sounds
How strange it must sound
To your ears when I say
My womb wishes to be infecund.
And how strange it must sound
To my ears when you say
I must not have thought it through.
That I had wanted one or two.
It might sound stranger still
When I say
It wasn't about the pill
But rather the life you thought we would share
If we both had a pair.
But stranger things are abound
And how strange it must sound
To both our ears
When the silence
Follows our fears.
