Death

Death

The silhouette of death was upon me.

It was like a tree, branching out into all of my insecurities.

It was like black fire, burning my soul, and drying my heart.

Yet it failed,

IT FAILED TO MAKE DARKNESS PREVAIL.

The sun of hope shined through,

The warmth of the earth hugged me and kissed

And stopped my razor blade from reaching my wrist.
