Dark Era

I know how to rule. I know how to fool.
I ranted against them and won the election, cool! 

They thought I would bring a happy wise time. 

But I am a devil inside. They couldn't realise. 

I wanted the power to rule without care. 

So, I called the goons to introduce fear

And sabotage elections in my favour. 

I love bloodbath as I have a past, darker. 

I tried to control the press. I threatened them with the best. 

Then with money and police, I purchased the rest. 

I talked about equality and communal harmony. 

In the parliament, I told my goons to abstain from voting. 

This way I thought I would keep going on. 

But some people kept calling me a sly moron. 

Wherever possible I stopped elections. 

Wherever necessary I looted vote sessions. 

I taught them how to loot public money. 

I taught them how to celebrate the cut-money. 

But my evil brain was still doubtful about the future. 

So, I hired a corporate agent as my advisor. 

He told me to give alms to the poor people. 

So, I created beneficiary groups everywhere to control. 

I kept on borrowing money from wherever I could

And spent them without vision following my mood. 

I stopped recruitments wherever possible. 

I snatched all the rights from these people. 

I loved to see people begging and obeying. 

I knew how the cornered people craved for a little thing. 

No right, no work, no development -

That was how I ran the show of the government. 

Thieves, goons, and lumpens were my real friends. 

I was determined to offer them the darkest days. 

I was the witch with the darkest evil spirit. 

So, I gifted the people this dark era, so catastrophic!
