Chimera
Chimera
She is a street lamp, in a city full of lights
Trying her best to glow and share her light amidst even her own plight,
She is some magic, some poetry and a delight to eyesight.
She has moments of weakness nevertheless, insecurities they ignite
But everything she wants, in her already it resides;
She is fire, she is ice, an ocean of sunsets and riptides
Colourful like a rainbow, not simple black or white
She is chaos and beauty interwined.
There is some sadness in her eyes, maybe at times her soul too cries
Still woefully hopeful, in her darkest times
She is the imperfectly perfect poem that I wanted to write
So here I'm writing, wishing she always keeps, shining bright.
