Butterfly: Nature's Angel
Butterfly: Nature's Angel
Sitting on the grass in my lawn,
I had a difficult thought to dwell on.
Suddenly a butterfly came fluttering,
Her wings, in the sun, were shimmering.
Her beauty was certainly unmatched,
Onto a pretty yellow flower it latched.
I kept gazing for as long as I could,
Knowing it wouldn’t do me any good.
It was a wonderful sight to look upon,
But I had a few decisions to work on.
My mind was simmering with conflict,
While she sucked nectar like an addict.
I wanted to know why she was so calm,
So I slowly offered her my warm palm.
She sat on it with remarkable ease,
But flew away with the very next breeze.
In just a moment, she solved my mystery,
Taking away all the feelings contradictory.
It is true that they are nature’s angels,
For it felt like she as one of His messengers.
I started unravelling piece by piece,
For I now knew that she was at peace.
I remembered that I was in the garden of her love,
And she was looking at me from up above.
