Breaking the Unbreakable

I am trying to break the chains,

The chains tied by my ancestors,

Chains I didn't wish to tie,

But were enforced onto me.

Society norms keep me scared,

Afraid of breaking these chains,

I am worried,

I am breathless,

I feel caged,

I feel torn,

I feel selfless.

Will these chains ever break?
