Blazing Stardust
Blazing Stardust
The river of turquoise canters and springs;
Rocks; now mossy, rounded; battles the current and clings;
Lilac and lavender upon the embankment;
Speckled by olive shrubs bent.
Mist of the late-night curls around each hill stone-strewn;
Like puddles of the sea swirling about fair, sandy feet near a dune;
Trilling whispers of the brook mingle with the hazy-grey song;
Sighs of the purple overgrowth drawn out long.
The stars at unrest;
White, blue, red; they form an empyrean crest;
Mirroring the rill below;
The indigo waters of the sky are marred by a violet boat aglow.
Bursting with silver, the drifting orbs blind;
The foggy clouds, the wispy ocean, tendrils of nebulae bind;
A ballet of comets, meteors on board;
The celestial eve of celebration soared.
They are forbidden to touch;
The ripples of the airy and earthy shores much;
Yet, a clear reflection through a blur;
Blazing stardust, the chauffeur.
