Bird Of Paradise
Bird Of Paradise
Her pinion emanated light
As she took the heavenly flight.
Up and above, in the air
She moved as mortals did glare.
What mystical creature was this,
Radiating love and bliss!
Was it a bird of paradise,
That ventured to the wise?
Or was it a wonted bird,
In daily parlance t’was heard?
People wondered in delight,
As rainbow exuded in her flight!
Swiftly she folded her wings
Flying towards the spring.
Chirping on a bough she sat,
Looking ordinary yet aristocrat.
Mystical she was not,
It was the onlooker who sought,
The beauty that was inside
Which the bird of paradise couldn’t hide.
