Winter At Granny's

Silvery snowflakes waft in sky

Hither and thither they fly

Rippling over landscape

Pearly sights meadows drape.

Crisp, chilly winds wary, 

Eerie tales of wintertide they carry. 

Of nippy morns and frosty nights,

Tales bringing shudder and fright.

As frigid winter sun lits the day,

Dear ol' Granny makes her way…

Besides the hearthstone, she sits

And lovingly sweaters she knits.

At Granny’s, the hearth remains warm

Outside though, there’s thunder ‘n’ storm.

Relentlessly, she knits day and night,

As creeps, fleecy snow with frostbite.

Knitting sweaters of various kind,

Keeping all children in her mind.

Colorful yarn airing her love

With a plethora of grace in her trove.

At Granny's winters are magically warm, 

She makes them indelible in every form! 

I see the winters through her eyes,

And know that tough time too flies
