Betrayal
Betrayal

You kept piercing my heart,
I never said a word,
You kept pulling us apart,
But I always believed in you,
Perhaps I had forgotten,
All living things have to die,
Thus, the craters on my body cry,
Why, You had to do this?
I always got your eyes wrong,
And poor me, I thought I could read them,
I thought I got them right.
Though Betrayals don’t kill you,
They surely mine a hole in your heart.
Though Broken Trust doesn’t kill you,
It does pull you far apart.
But what wrong did I do?
When I thought good for you?
We were mates O Star,
Why did you shoot me in the eye?
Perhaps I had forgotten,
All living things have to die,
Thus, the craters on my body cry,
Why, You had to do this?
I never expected it from you,
I thought we were friends.
But thoughts can’t breathe,
Perhaps they’re too dead,
Like my broken heart.
