Ballad of Caged Freedom
Ballad of Caged Freedom
You dared to bring tanks in our hallways
And expected us to bow down to the
Jurisdiction you have disbursed
wrenched from those it had
once associated, anchoring cogwheel of a
colossal sovereignty, thriving in
Velocipede, each of worth.
You dared to adumbrate mass graves of
un-named raped and widows with
husband's slugging in abyss.
You dared to reduce mothers
to statistics underlining your lies.
You dared to rogue,
conflagrate the names we consecrated
to remember of our tongues.
You dared to enforce us to forget
the image of saffron tainted carnage
scared under our eyelids, even when,
you extorted our eyes wide shut.
I wish to detest all that.
It stands for cold blooded procurement
and enroachment of little hands
under large boots, bruising the glee
into indistinguishable ruins of mutilated beliefs and dreams
forlale the suffering it endorses
and gains from; from the pain, anger and sadness.
Which dared you to be harsh,
and took our freedom away
and cocooned us in a reality
that made us broke.
Which dared you to glorify case
without showing,
each of gory, gruesome effect.
We have in us the seeds
that need to be planted to grow,
and it's a lot to ask, and rare demand,
but we can, we should, we must, we will,
Try. To create a softer, gentle and free world.
