Lost for words

Lost for words

Lost for words, I stand here still,

My thoughts are like sand, they slip and spill.

I speak my mind, but no one hears,

My words just echo, like ghostly cheers.

I say so much, but it falls on deaf ears,

My voice fades away, like forgotten tears.

Now I'm lost for words, what more to say?

I'll just stand here, quietly fade away.

Perhaps one day, they'll hear my voice,

And my words will make a joyful noise.

But until then, I'll just stay still,

Lost for words, until I find my will.

Lost for words, my mind is blank,

I've said so much, but none to thank,

My words fall on deaf ears it seems,

Like echoes fading in my dreams.

My heart is heavy, my tongue is tied,

The words won't come, no matter how I've tried,

I've shouted, whispered, cried out loud,

But none have heard me in the crowd.

Now I'm lost for words, with nothing to say,

My voice is silenced, as I fade away,

I'll watch and listen, but never speak,

For fear, my words will once again fall weak.
