Baby Steps Everyday

Traversing through life,

Wanting to live, enough of mere survival.

Not an aimless wanderer anymore,

Found the way, just got to walk through this door.

That stands in between where I am and where I want to be,

Magic, happiness, love- everything is there that I want to feel and see.

Enough of the monsters within me telling I can’t step ahead and go there,

Enough of me listening to them, standing still, and trembling being scared.

Not anymore I will play this forever victim game,

Instead, I will be the hero by whom the monsters would be tamed.

Passing across this door would be difficult, but not impossible,

There may be the outbursts of fear but I will not stumble.

I would reach the other side and that would be glory,

And one day happily I would be reciting my story.

Baby steps every day, that’s all that it's gonna take.
