Awaited Monsoons...

Awaited Monsoons...

People eagerly waited for the monsoons,

All the predictions told,

Will come soon

Blew away all the gold…

peasants' future depends on rain,

The scorching heat, Fauna arrives to shed tears,

Oh! Rain, come again pour on the dry lane,

Sights waiting for a bloom that flora bears,

The greenery that you spread

Snouts waiting for the aroma of the loam,

You kill the heat of the dread,

My eyes crave for dancing waves with foam,

Global warming may be the reason,

Ozone's depletion

This is your season,

Whole parched nation,

Monsoons! we are waiting,

The streams of sweat that flow,

The birds in the heat are fainting,

Oh Lord! we pray, the moisture winds you blow…
