An Altered Summer
An Altered Summer
Summer season is a season of wonder,
Spring season paves the way, after winter.
Though the weather may be hot and sweaty,
It excites us and makes us peppy.
A time to chillax and tread out of the track,
Along with visits to our loved ones' shack.
But, alas, this year has turned out different,
The current situation such, cannot be indifferent.
Stuck to our homes are we thus,
Become we have a gloomy Gus.
Surrounded by so much pain,
Causes for which we cannot explain.
Maintaining distance is all we can do,
Everything's around has become subdued.
Figure out ways to keep oneself engaged,
For its the best way to keep oneself sane.
Keep in touch with family, friends and all,
So many memories to reminisce and recall.
Yet, a ray of hope and a silver lining,
Is what keeps us going and surviving.
