A Woman's World
A Woman's World
Her mother bears the pain
Wondering who it is
But at birth, she gets slain
Guilt, none there is
A little boy, born somewhere
His father let him live
Brought up with gentle care
Bearing pain was not his share
They too had
Killed a girl
When she was brought
Into this world
He went to school
Did nothing but drool
If she would have gone
She could have won
And proven herself the best
She could have got,
The best grade there is
On the school test
He grew up, became a man
Took the money, and off he ran
When nothing worked with his will
His parents stood there, shocked and still
Had they been
A little sensible
She would have
Now been workable
And supported them
In their old age
Instead of putting
Them behind a cage
Now they both
Regretted their mistake
Their minds had now
Been shook awake
If they had not
Been so cruel
And not differentiated
Between a male and female
Their face wouldn’t
Have been so pale
They would not have
Been forced to wail
Had they let their
Little angel mold
They would have realized
This is a woman’s world
