A Venomous Betrayal

A Venomous Betrayal

It slithered and wriggled scaring people into fits,

Quiet and daunting hissing out lies,

I am warned to move away from its venomous spits.

And I fed a poisonous grey snake,

Uncooperative it was, wore a smile fake.

Kept close ones in loop with crocodile cries.

People said 'It won't shirk away harming you'.

Still I fed a poisonous snake again,

Ah! I was only bitten among those few.

Really, I'd not guessed the wits of sly brain.

If I'd have fed it with poison

Then I might not be a fallen prey.

If I'd have been out of its treason

Also be out of an atop betray.

And I fed a poisonous grey snake

That'd led me my nightmarish awake!
