A Utopian World
A Utopian World
Living without fear today seems like a Utopia,
A Utopian universe wherein life was without any phobia!
Carefree and happy we were in our world,
Before the deadly virus around us swirled!
Hazy memories of fun and frolic sometimes do surface,
‘Was it a illusion or a mirage?’, we often ask ourselves.
A Utopian world where we could do as we wished,
Any diggling doubt of misbehaviour we airily dismissed!
The only thing that kept us plodding through the dreary week days,
Were the thoughts of guzzling tequila shots with friends on Saturdays.
A Utopian world where masks and social distancing were unheard of,
And heaving close to each other on the dance floor was the usual norm.
Nobody ever thought a day would ever come,
When hand shaking and air kissing would be considered dumb!
A Utopian world in which sterilising everything in sight,
Would have had ludicrous looks invite!
‘Online’ is a word now so bandied about,
That our physical presence somewhere raises eyebrows in doubt!
A Utopian world of two years before,
Now somehow sounds something out of a folk lore.
