A tribute to life
A tribute to life
I watch you in great wonder, going through stages of Life,
The birth, the way you look around,
Your mother's concern, her happiness,
as she cuddles you, fondle, you feeds you,
She is going through transition of wife to
Mother.
Every little moment, and movement of her child a wondorous experience,
the innocence, the questioning eyes,
The protesting cry, the screaming cry for food,
Then comes the turning, the crawling,
Walking,
Calling out the first universal word maa,
Music to the ears of a mother,
your mind becom
es a joyuous experience, fighting back Tears of happiness,
The evolution is complete.
I watch with great pleasure the naughtiness, the antics, the playfulness,
Of my grand daughter I too go back to
Childhood memories.
For what is old age, but infancy in ripeness of advancing years,
She looks at my weathered face with a smile,
Seems to say grandpa we are on same page.
The miracle of birth is complete.
Tomorrow another miracle will unfold;
as my granddaughter becomes a mother,
and cycle of life begins its another chapter.
