I have seen a nurse delighted in recognizing her own power,

Her own insights developed when she saw something written by others.

A management professor realized the benefit of diverse perspectives

After reading and discussing William

Trevor’s short stories.

The relationship of love, force, and community in society,

Can be understood if explored honestly by

police officers and community.

So the great astronomer Galileo said,

“You cannot teach a man anything;

You can only help him to find it within himself.”

Workplaces are increasingly becoming virtual,

Rises disaffection and isolation among people.

It is apparent over the world in all atmosphere

Loneliness in life is on the rise in all spheres.

There are diverse life experiences and emotions,

The horizon of our minds is in utter confusion.

In the history of work, human is at a critical juncture,

Technology places human connection face-to-face

The question is how to preserve chord-making uniquely human.

Storytelling is a platform for collaborative reflection.

Literature opens our eyes and makes us see more,

Helps us to realize the wide world surrounding outside.

Literature changes our perspective about things, people, and events,

It broadens the horizon of our minds by sharing events

Literature has the power to change the atmosphere world,

By powerful storytelling unites humans across space and time in the world.

Literature chronicles and preserves the ever-evolving human story.

It invites us to reflect on our lives and, in discussion with others.

Keeping it within the walls of a classroom, the impact of literature is undermined,

By the same path, it is doled its treasures to a few privileged.

To unleash the power of literature, we need to bring it to new people

It may be in a new manner, in new places, and in new ways.

Literature has a transformative impact on the way that readers see

It is also dependent on the way that the readers understand by their capacity.

I remember Charles Dickens here, the poet of the time

Dickens’ novels criticize the injustices he observed in his time.

His novels are dedicated to the sufferings of the poor everywhere.

Starving, rumbling stomachs, bare feet, cold lives, Empty staring eyes and

The fear lurking behind them is reflected in pictures.

He used to say that it is all because the mighty ones,

Who snatch away their rights and refuse to help them ever.

He portrayed the urban poverty, deprivation and the wretchedness it brought,

Especially, upon the slum children of Victorian society.

No other author of that era presented a more realistic and “humanized” face of poverty,

He created some of English literature’s most memorable characters in it.

Some People might mock Dickens’s style,

The truth is no one has been able to capture such a variety of human nature.

His characters are all amazing,

So vivid that at the time of reading,

The reader reaches the end of the novel,

And comes to know them on a personal level.

Some reforms in social conditions and criminal laws of England brought on,

His novels succeeded in bringing about reality.

Some changes could be brought about by his literature,

I thank you from my heart for bringing attitudes towards the poor.
