A tale of an inspirational father

“ A father can be anything because of the courage his daughter’s smile gives him.

A father can bring daylight when his daughter is not liking the light to be dim!

A father’s happiness comes when the daughter is contentedly engaged,

In the professional and domestic responsibilities cage a father is caged!

Until his last breath the father tolerates it,

But even after life’s termination, supporting he never quit!

My father was a boon to me and he still is,

See me today, I am an army officer just because of him.

When he used to leave us alone, he used to say just some lines to me,

“I don’t know that maybe after this moment, I would be able to meet you or even see.

But promise me that you would make me feel proud,

Become just like me and do not fear with people holding weapon all around!

Stand like a stone and fight with victory in mind,

Just defend your country and don’t worry about dying or staying alive.

I trust you Charlotte, you will do it,

I trust you Charlotte, to me from god you are a gift.

I trust you Charlotte, all burned off lights you’ll lit,

I trust yo Charlotte, you will never give in and sit!”

Saying this he used to give me tons of courage,

I trusted myself and understood that I’ll manage!

I grew up and completed his dreams,

I am happy knowing it that after seeing this from heaven he beams!

In a fight he lost his breath but didn’t lose the fight,

His efforts and hard work made our country’s future very bright!

He is my idol and my inspiration,

He taught me how to see dreams and complete them with full concentration!

Today is the day of my first fight,

I also wanna just like him battle without any fright!

In my mind one line is there that is “stand like a stone and fight with victory in mind,

Just defend your country and don’t worry about dying or staying alive.”

Wondering this I went in the battlefield,

Ready to risk my life and the country to shield!

Fighting like a warrior and defending like lawyer,

After the war the bunts made me more stronger!

Thinking that at least I made my country win and proud,

Not fearing from the people holding weapons all around”!
