When you came to wreck us, we fought for us, we fought our liberation!

You formed the British east India Company and set the eyes on our affluence,

But we weren’t frail and we didn’t have shaky legs and hands,

When you came to wreck us, we weren’t agitated from your presence!

And were not the puppets to dance on your commands!

You thought we were your thralls, and you can rule us forever,

Will chain us with shackles, because from our brawn you were afraid,

When you came to wreck us, you took all our nation’s splendour!

But splendour is not the money, it is our love towards our country from which its grace is made!

When you surrounded Jhansi fort with your fierce troop,

Rani Lakshmi Bai didn’t give up and fought with extreme courage with you all,

When you came to wreck us, she didn’t in front of you stoop!

She stood as a symbol of bravery and determination in hearts of all!

Bhagat Singh went against his religion, cut his hair and took a western attire,

Killing John Saunders and Channan Singh is not only the definition of his bravery,

When you came to wreck us, he bombarded your assembly and shrieked Inquilab Zindabad much louder!

To show Indian soil’s courage, he surreptitiously escaped from Lahore and kept his real identity a mystery!

Ambition of manumission in Mangal Pandey’s eyes was congenital,

The first Indian soldier who opposed British by the cartridge coated with skin of pigs and cows,

When you came to wreck us, he averted you and the fear look on your face was real!

If India is a tree, then Mangal Pandey is one of the upper boughs!

The list goes on forever, because patriotism radiates in heart’s of all,

In front of you we didn’t bow, we didn’t give up and we never will,

When you came to wreck us, we showed you our India and the love that grows in hearts of us all!

We will fight for our rights, our nation and our people until our breaths are still!
