Bless me with a sight O Lord,

That mesmerises not with outer vanity

That beholds the beauty within

That glitters with love and kindness.

Bless me with a heart O Lord,

That knows no hatred or betrayal

That harbours not envy

That renders only mercy.

Bless me with a stride O Lord,

That is never weary treading on the right

That goes not astray

That wanders in your bower day and night

Bless me with a Touch O Lord,

That soothes those in pain,

That reassures those in despair,

That embraces those in fright.

Bless me with a Smile O Lord,

That melts the foe’s heart

That sparkles the moist eyes

That stirs the pale cheeks.

Bless me with such Words O Lord,

That creates no friction,

That hurts no soul,

That empowers your humble creation.

Bless me with such Wings O Lord,

That soar an invincible flight

That shelter the weak with delight

That is bound not by the worldly skies.

Bless me with a Soul O Lord

That reflects the shaft of Thee in Me

That craves divine light

That longs a union with Thee.
