The fallen
The fallen

Wherefore thou still heed the serpent?
O fool
Its trick got thee banished
From the blissful Paradise.
The serp thrives on thy flaws
Its trap if thou slip into-
Thou water its might,
And feed its intent.
The more thou submit to its hiss
The more the Almighty shalt be displeased
What thy sight deems as charming,
Is a sting from its fang
Which leisurely strolls on thy mind
And upon thy dreams it hangs .
Then soon of thy demeanour
it becomes an inseparable part,
Besieging thy soul
And poisoning thy heart.
No wonder they named thee
the fallen
thy ears have gone deaf to the righteous voice
thy sight fails to perceive what is right
thy soul has lost its will
to resist and fight.
