A Platonic Affair
A Platonic Affair
Emotional well-being is a challenge
All through my life…
I internalise a lot idiotically,
So I feel things vividly:
I overwhelm and stay tongue-tied
Never express or experience in real!
By choice, I am alone
To be normal and sensible,
With less anxiety and more peace.
My mind is a mighty schemer with myriad ideas;
At times, it swings from the peak of the Everest
To the challenger deep of the Pacific Ocean.
When I am deafened and blinded
With roaring chaos and soaring self-doubts,
Always a Tinker fairy appears to fix me up!
She revs her wings up,
Brings in all nuts and bolts,
Without consciously knowing,
She puts together my broken pieces;
She is my confidant -
She holds all that my diary pages hold
I never give a second thought
While talking to her;
All along, I long to have such a partner.
In the current social scenario
By embracing every possible sexuality,
I regret being a boring heterosexual:
The comfort of talking about anything under the sky
Without being judged…
That's the key to companionship;
I thoroughly enjoy being around my Tinker fairy,
She is perfect for me in every way,
Yet we are born to be straight normal women;
Though it's an oxymoron,
I proudly call it a platonic affair!
