A pawn
A pawn
I am just a pawn in his game
I am just a plan in his fame
He controls me, and I follow,
And as I do, the hole in my chest becomes hollow
Cruel, unspeakable things I do,
Maim, kill, torture,
All because I am a pawn
In a game, he rules
Innocent damsel found on the streets
"Be grateful, I saved you," he said
But he forgets that I am the killer
The line he walks on every day is a thread
He thinks he is untouchable, inviolable, he says,
But how when his doom sleeps in his bed.
A knife, that lies under my pillow
A sleight of hand and he'd be bleeding red
He trusts me, a big mistake,
How would he know that I was a wolf dressed as a black sheep,
His empire will crumble to dust,
And only then will he be in the ground, 6 feet deep
I will stab him in the back
While looking right in his eyes,
The betrayal to shine bright
A smile on my face, manic as he cries
He thinks I am a pawn in his game,
Just a plan in his fame,
Because this world is a stage
Hold the applause and sit back for the finale
