A Once Upon A Time
A Once Upon A Time
First its the once upon a time,
From stories and in rhymes,
Then it's the adventures and prophecies,
From beloved books and movies
First its Cinderella, Aurora, and Tiana,
With their magic wands, shoes, and a tiara,
Then it Harry, Percy, and Clary,
With their quests, journeys, and a destiny
How not to wish upon a fluttering eyelash,
Or on the white streak of a comet flash,
From all the magical realms we've known,
For at least one to embed itself in our own
But as we age and life goes on,
The world becomes a whirlwind of the storm,
And right when everything falls through,
We realize: no fairytale's coming true.
