An Ebony Night
An Ebony Night
In the velvet ebony night,
Looking up at the night sky,
There ain't a single city light,
T’was the first time I appreciated,
The painting in the high
Biting frost on my exposed skin,
Toasty warmth under clothing,
Lips stretched in an insuppressible grin,
Heart pumping with uncontrollable joy,
Eyes drinking in every sight of my dream unfurling
Out on the isolated street,
Hash winds slapping my face,
Not wanting to miss a single white streak,
My head out of the car window,
Enjoying the dreamy phase,
Hard to catch on the camera
But a memory to retain for lifelong,
Tis the rare natural phenomena,
Of the dangerously beautiful meteors,
That in my mind will always tag along
